Introducing Otto Jungarrayi’s Collection

Otto Jungarrayi is the custodian of Jukurrpa stories of the Yiwarra (Milky Way Dreaming) passed to him by his father, the painter Paddy Japaljarri Sims. These stories relate the songlines of his ancestral Country at Kunajarrayi and Yanjilpirri.
Some of Otto’s Jukurrpa stories include Yiwarra, Yanjirlpirri, Warlu, Warna, and Ngarlkirdi (Milky Way, Star, Fire, Snake, and Witchetty Grub).

Country, Law, Language, Ceremony, and Skin (or Kinship). Ngurra-kurlu is the heart of central desert cultures, a complete cosmology and philosophy for living in harmony with nature.
